This site is a collaborative effort between the herbaria of the UW-Madison (WIS) and the UW-Steven's Point (UWSP), along with most of the other herbaria located in the state of Wisconsin. It contains information on each of the more than 2600 vascular plant species that occurs in Wisconsin, including photos, distribution maps, specimen records, and more.

Islands of the Californias Biodiversity Information System

This archipelago of over twenty islands and islets, the Islands of the Californias, spans two nations and its individual islands are managed by a variety of agencies and organizations with differing missions. The California Islands Biodiversity Information System, or Cal-IBIS, was launched to facilitate archipelago-wide data sharing, with the ultimate goals of protecting the archipelago’s biota and enhancing scientific understanding of it by better informing conservation management and research.
